What is Video Scrapbooking?

Have you been thinking about all those photos, slides, films and tapes that are packed away in boxes in the closet because you have no way to view them or share them with your family. Well, In case you haven't noticed, we now live in a totally digital world. Those projectors and VCR's have long since been sent to the scrapyard. It's time to move them to digital files.

Retired video engineer Harry Shelton brings his years of experience in archiving family keepsakes to your church, community or social organization in the Gulf Coast region. Video Scrapbooking is a live and lively three hour seminar where you will learn how to convert your old photos, slides, movies and VCR tapes to digital files. Also, learn how to prepare and share your memories with relatives near and far with the a few clicks of the mouse button. Hey, no more packing and shipping!

Intimidated by computers, cameras and scanners? We have tips for do-it-yourself methods to convert family photos to digital J-PEG files. What files? Don't worry, there are free software programs that are so easy to use you'll be amazed at how quickly you can convert all your memories and store them in the cloud. What is the cloud, anyway? That's just one of many topics we will cover.

Slides, films and videos are a bit more complicated, but Harry will show you some resources to convert them to digital, some that you might be able to do yourself!

It's an informative 3 hours where you can bring your questions. I'll bring the answers and snacks, and we all will have a lot of fun.
